Compared to Bob Dylan, New Hampshire’s own singer/songwriter Tristan Omand lit up the stage with his carefully crafted songs Friday night June 15th. Omand was the opening act for famed singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor at the Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The young Omand conversed with the crowd in the best way that he knows, through his music. With only a guitar in hand, Omand took command of the stage from the first strum of his guitar under a lone white light. At the young age of 25, Omand has the intensity of a performer of a quarter century. His provoking lyrics and melodic guitar playing make Omand the perfect package on the stage.
The main act, Livingston Taylor conversed with the crowd in the very same way the Omand did, with just his guitar and a little piano. As Taylor performed is soulful and witty songs, you could get a sense of the resemblance between both of the performers music. Taylor performed his songs such as “Never Lose Hope”, “Carolina Day” and “Best of Friends” for the crowd of young and old. Tristan Omand and Livingston Taylor combined for the perfect mix of a great night of truthful, down to earth music. The Tupelo Music Hall hit a home run when putting this show together.
