The JaneDear Girls performed at the Brooklyn Fair August 26th. The Brooklyn Fair in CT is considered to be the oldest agricultural fair in the United States. As show time neared, the crowd continued to grow of young and old. When the band took to the stage, the crowd cheered with excitement as music filled the warm summer night’s air. The JaneDear Girls played songs from their self titled album including, “Shotgun Girl,” “Saturdays In September,” and their upcoming single due out in September, “Merry Go Round.” Fairgoers also moved to the beat as Susie and Danelle serenaded them with a medley of hits by Michael Jackson to AC/DC to Joan Jett. Tribute was paid to their former tour mate, Jason Aldean when they performed a cover of, “She’s Country.” The biggest applause came when the band started performing their first single, “Wildflower.” It was a great end to a great day at The Brooklyn Fair.
Newcomers, Thompson Square, took to the stage first on the,“My Kinda Party,” tour with Chris Young and headliner Jason Aldean in Scranton, PA on August 25th. In the searing sun of a hot New England summer day, Brad Paisley’s H2O II Wetter and Wilder World Tour rolled through Scarborough, Maine Sunday, July 17th. Concert goers were treated to a day of music by some of Nashville’s biggest and up-and-coming acts. The line up included The JaneDear Girls, Eden’s Edge, Sunny Sweeney, Jerrod Niemann, Blake Shelton, and of course Brad Paisley.
Opening the show on the second stage were The JaneDear Girls. Danelle Leverett and Susie Brown hit the stage hard playing songs from their debut album “The JaneDear Girls.” Songs included “Saturdays In September,” “Merry Go Round,” and their latest hit, “Shotgun Girl.” The crowd got fired up when they broke into their first single “Wildflower.” They even tore up the stage with a rocking cover of “Footloose.” With a rock solid band behind them, these girls are young and full of energy and passion and a real treat to see in concert.
The second band to hit the second stage was Eden’s Edge, another new young act out of Nashville. This vocal trio entertained the crowd with the softer side of country music. Songs off their new EP include, “Swingin’ Door,” “Feels So Real,” “Christ Not Alone,” “Slow Motion,” and their first single, “Amen.” Along with a great band, their voices blend together to form a great sound. A real treat was when Brad Paisley joined Eden’s Edge on stage to perform his song, “Whiskey Lullaby.”
With fresh new acts out of Nashville along side of seasoned veterans, this tour is not to miss.
The high energy from Church and his band mates captured the attention of the crowd as they tore into “Homeboy”, the latest single from the upcoming release “Chief”. But there is one song that no Eric Church show would be complete without and what I would call his anthem, “Smoke A Little Smoke”.
Mansfield MA was turned into a country town Sunday, June 5th. The My Kinda Party Tour, with The Jane Deer Girls, Eric Church, and headliner Jason Aldean blew the roof of the Comcast Center. Jason Aldean and his band put on an incredible performance for all the fans. Jason even brought members of the Boston Red Sox on stage with him. He put them to work as his guitar techs for the evening!
